You'll notice we're not claiming 100% alpaca wool — and that's on purpose. Pure alpaca, while incredibly warm and soft, has no structure. It stretches out, wears through fast, and shrinks in the wash. Not what you want in a work sock.
Instead, we paired it with merino wool for natural softness and temperature regulation, nylon and polyester for durability where it counts, and a touch of spandex so they hold their shape all day. The alpaca does what alpaca does best — keeps your feet warm and dry — the rest of the blend makes sure the sock actually lasts
Size Guide
Pick your size by your normal shoe size.
Small / Medium — UK 5–89(EU 39–42, US 7–9)
Large / X-Large — UK 10–13 (EU 43–47, US 10–13)
Got a smaller foot and your size isn't showing? No bother — the larger size will still fit you fine. Alpaca has plenty of natural stretch, so the only difference is the sock rising a little higher up your leg. In a work boot you'll never notice.
Between two sizes? Size down for a snugger fit or up for more room — both work.
Every pair is knitted to grip through the arch and stay put, so no slipping down into your boot on a long shift.
Mix & Match Colours and Sizes
Add any pairs you like to your cart — any colour, any size. Your discount is based on how many pairs you add, not which option you pick so you can add them one by one with your preferred size or color. Keep adding until you’re happy.
Our alpaca wool blend holds in heat better than cotton, so your feet stay warm all day.
SOFT FROM THE FIRST WEAR
Alpaca is naturally smooth, so there’s no itch or rub like cheap wool. Just cushioned comfort through a long shift.
WARM, NOT SWEATY
Wool moves sweat away from your skin instead of holding it there like cotton does, so your feet stay drier in boots and fresher when they come off.
OUTLAST CHEAP SOCKS
Reinforced heel and toe take the beating, so they don't wear through in a month.
WHO'S BEHIND TOESIE
Founded by a 16-year-old from Co. Kildare
I’m Ollie McCartan, 16, from Straffan, Co. Kildare, and I run Toesie on my own. It started with my dad. He’s a mechanic who spends ten-plus hours a day on a concrete floor, and he’d come home with cold, damp, wrecked feet, in socks that were holed within months. I just wanted to fix that. Looking for something that actually holds up led me to alpaca, the same fibre that’s kept South American farmers warm for generations. Read the full story →
Our alpaca wool blend holds in heat better than cotton, so your feet stay warm all day without needing a second pair.

Comfortable from the first wear
Alpaca fibre is naturally soft and smooth, so there’s no itch or rub like cheap wool. Cushioned from heel to toe.
Tested on real building sites and farms, not in a lab
These socks were put through wet fields, steel-toe boots and 12-hour shifts by farmers and tradesmen across Ireland and the UK before we ever sold a pair. If they couldn’t survive a working week, they didn’t make the cut. What’s left is a work sock built for graft: warm, comfortable, and tough enough to outlast cheap socks.
✓Worn on farms & sites across IE & UK
✓Put through steel-toe boots & 12-hr shifts
✓If it couldn’t survive a working week, it was cut
Alpaca fiber is 3x warmer than sheep's wool, 4x stronger, and naturally moisture-wicking. Unlike wool, it contains no lanolin, so it won't irritate sensitive skin or cause itching. Cotton traps moisture and loses insulation when wet—alpaca stays warm and dry even in damp conditions. It's also naturally antimicrobial, which means no sock stink even after long shifts in work boots.
No! Alpaca fiber is temperature-regulating, which means it adapts to your body and the weather. The hollow fiber structure provides insulation in cold weather but also wicks moisture away in warm conditions, keeping your feet cool and dry. Many of our customers wear them year-round across Ireland and the UK—from freezing January mornings to warm July days on site.
Not at all. Alpaca fiber is hypoallergenic and contains no lanolin (the substance that makes wool itchy). It's actually softer than cashmere and feels smooth against your skin. If you've had issues with itchy wool socks before, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how comfortable alpaca feels.
With proper care, Toesie socks last 2-3 years of regular wear. The fiber is 4x stronger than sheep's wool, and we reinforce the heels and toes—the areas that typically wear out first. Many of our customers report their socks still look and perform like new after months of daily use in work boots or hiking boots.
Our Premium Alpaca Socks are designed to work year-round thanks to alpaca's natural temperature-regulating properties. The same sock keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer, so you don't need different pairs for different seasons. This makes them perfect for unpredictable Irish & UK weather.
How do I wash them?
A: It's easy:
Machine wash cold (30°C or less)
Use regular detergent—no special soap needed
Turn inside out to protect the fibers
Hang dry or lay flat to dry
Do not:
Tumble dry (heat damages the fibers)
Use bleach or fabric softener
Dry clean
Unlike traditional wool, alpaca won't shrink or felt in the wash if you follow these simple steps.
Sorry You Feel This Way.

I got them for my son for working boots he loves them. Only thing is they need to be hand-wash and line dried so it looks like I will need to but more.👍
Socks are warm and comfortable but I thought I was supporting a young Irish company so was disappointed when they took almost 3 weeks to get here from China.
I must say I'm absolutely thrilled with these. I was very skeptical after discovering there was more than alpaca & merino wool in the fabric content as i font like polyester or nylon at all. However after I raised my concerns by email, Ollie replied to them and explained why they were needed to strengthen the natural wools and promised me a full refund if I wasn't happy after trying them. Well, boy was he right. They are super comfy and I havent sweat once in them. I have tried them in my wellies for a day, my shoes at work for 3 days and my boots for 2 days at work, all over the past week now. I am on my feet all day at work. No smell whatsoever from the socks or my feet & remarkably no sweating at all.
I really am blown away by these socks. I couldn't recommend them enough. I've actaully ordered another 6 pairs just last night in a different colour as my wife loved them in her hiking boots.
So well done Ollie 👏 and thank you genuinely for making a huge change to the health of my feet.

I got three pairs of these ahead of the oncoming winter weather. I am a stonemason so I spend all day on my feet, usually buried in muck and dirt so dry and warm feet are an essential part of me being productive. These socks fit great, with a lovely fleece like inside and durable exterior. They don’t bunch up in my boots over the course of the day, and most importantly they don’t make my feet sweat. I have yet to see how durable they remain over the winter, but if they continue to perform as they have started then they will have been a very worthwhile purchase.
Socks where grand ,very small though and the packaging was terrible, ment to b a present but the plastic wrap it came in with no labels attached , nothing .. made it look straight from Temu. Very very dissapointing .. for the price.

Nice comfortable sock. Still haven't tested long enough to see durability. Its a shame the delivery time is so long as it does come from china even though it's advertised as fully Irish I expected a quicker delivery. For the price and delivery length I probably wouldn't purchase again..
I ordered socks over 2 weeks ago; they have been travelling through a very convoluted network since then and have now been sitting in a facility somewhere in the Netherlands for a week.
I have had absolutely no communication from the seller, despite my negative review last week.
Had I known these socks were being sourced in China, I would not have proceeded with my order. I was under the impression I was buying from an Irish supplier. Customer service is abysmal to say the least.
Ordered socks online took nearly 2 weeks to arrive,as the seller doesn't keep stock in Ireland and they are shipped from China, will never buy again from toesie
I’m skipping the discount because I have no photo to show but I’m on my way to buy 12 more pairs for my son and daughter because my partner said they were extremely comfortable and brilliant to be wearing in his construction job. I’ve noticed he only wears them for work and I reckon I’ll be needing to buy him more .
Haven't worn the product yet so cannot give review. Having said that I was very disappointed to realise that I was not supporting an Irish company on having received the product from china. Received in good time and correspondence was great during delivery process.
First it very misleading your advertising.
You socks are not manufactured in the Republic of Ireland.
You don't answer any questions on you site.
Only 24% alpaca..so not alpaca ..
Merion wool. The merion is probably the only best part. FYI I tried to return but your site would not allow it.
Not happy at all
We are farmers and the socks are next level to comfort. They wash well and do not shrink. Will definitely buy more. Thanks and good luck with your business.
